Happiness Tips

Believe it or not but most of us are not happy. The reason is that we are afraid to say what we want to say and afraid to do what we love to do. We think that finding happiness is very tough and we need to do big things to get happiness. But it is not true.
Happiness is within you. It lies in your thoughts, it is in your mind and it is in your body. Happiness is around you, your family, kids, pets, surroundings, nature, everywhere.
You just need to identify that happiness.

Here are 5 things that you can do to find that happiness and make yourself feel lighter, easier and happier.

1. Decide to be happy

Decide to be happy. Just decide to be happy today. Just decide to be cheerful today. Let nothing stop you today. No matter what, you will choose to be happy today. Once you do it, you will see your day suddenly changing. Everything seems to be much easier, much happier.
So just make a decision to be happy, Right Now.



2. Make a list of things you want to do before you die

Have you made such a list? If not, make it right now. Just think "what are the 20 things I want to do before I die?". You don't need to do all of them right now, but yes someday you would like to do. Make a list and go ahead. Start acting on one item on the list. You can choose the easiest one.
Here are some of the things that I want to do before I die:
  • Run a marathon.
  • Learn to play guitar
  • Build a lean body with 6 pack abs.
  • Go on a world tour with my family.
  • Take responsibility of a poor child and provide her/him education and a better life.

Remember you are doing it because it makes you happy. Just enjoy doing the task. You don't need to complete it in one day. But do something that takes you towards the completion of the task.

You will be much happier when you'll see you are actually working on your wish list.


3. Realize that you are amazing

"I am not good enough". This common negative thought is the core of all unhappiness. Of course you are good enough! Not just that, you are amazing. You - just the way you are - actually awesome.
Now just think about 5 instances when you did something and thought "Wow! I am cool."
Thought about it? Now take a look on one of those instances. It was you who did that amazing thing. No one else did it like you did it. That coolness is still inside you. It has not gone anywhere. It cannot go anywhere.

In everyday life you do many things much better than other people. Just realize the awesomeness in you and you will be much happier.


4. Play with a puppy

Or any pet. If you are feeling unhappy and low, playing with a puppy can do wonder for you.  It can boost energy and happiness in you. Let's find out, how? A little puppy walking around you in its own cute and stylish way, running behind you and following you everywhere - is something very beautiful. You just watch it eat, watch it sip milk or just caress it and see it accepting your love completely and fully. It is not that difficult to be happy. In fact it is very easy indeed.
Come on, bring in the puppy. :-)


5. Learn a new skill

Learning new things has a special charm to it. It helps you to get involved in a new work. Just think what is the thing that you would love to learn but have never learnt before. Take that thing up and start learning.
Here are few idea's that you can look upon:

  • Learn to play a musical instrument (guitar, piano,violin etc).
  • Learn a new language (Latin, French, Spanish, Mandarin etc).
  • Learn to cook new dishes.
  • Learn to sing and dance.
  • Learn new art and craft skills, and many more.

You can learn anything that you want. Let this be your new hobby. Everyone is happy when he or she is learning a new skill.

Being happy is not that difficult as it seems. In fact, it is one of the easiest thing to do. You just need to change your attitude towards happiness. Start feeling happy and no one can stop you from doing it.
